West Flores, East Nusa Tenggara

West Flores is famous for Komodo Dragon, therefore once we stepped out from the small aircraft from Bali, Komodo statue is welcoming us. The airport name for Labuan Bajo is Komodo airport. So everywhere, there is Komodo. We went directly to a traditional ship, where we stayed for about one week in it. It was amazing to see the sea scenery around Komodo Island. The island is close each other and the water is very calm. Every night the ship park in a calm bay, and sail during the day. The island is unique because it is very dry. None of the big tree grow covering a very hot land. During the sunset, we went to the island. Just enjoying the sunset from the beach, sometimes we hike the hill. When the dark came, we had bonfire. We sing and dance and had our dinner without disturbing anybody because the island is empty. Well a lot of empty islands around Komodo. The beach is unique..... it give 'pink' nuance because the white sand mixed with particles from red coral. So pink beach is everywhere around Komodo.
